dark times bring grim times..

well i haven't been as ordered these few months (well Christmas an all..) but I'm back into the world that is drawing and have many ideas for this new year. the first is a comic that follows the hard life of a man who's trying to forget his past but it always rears its ugly head. the sketches bellow are me trying to sort out what the character looks like and some poses for the action scenes.

well what can i say. its been a very long time since i put anything up on the old blog but got some recent things to show. theres a narrative which is six images long, the style is based upon Denys Shorts painting "Chapel and tip" which is on show in the Cardiff museum. the second piece is based on a story from Oliver Sacks book "the man who mistook his wife for a hat". i was tasked to choose one of the storys and create a drawing based upon it, featuring key words and assciated imagry.

folklore but not as we know it..

currently Ive been putting my folklore creatures into a modern setting. i thought my work needed a change and so Ive brought the pesky little creatures kicking and screaming into the modern world. the following are just characters with different jobs etc but i am currently working on more political and important messages with these illustrations enjoy :)

rambles here and there pt 2

some more photos from rambles around Monmouthshire. these were taken on top of gray hill. its a nice little walk either a 15 minute steep walk or a half hour stroll through the woods. at the time i took the quicker rout but i would recommend going up the wooded way.

concerning the other folk pt 2

these are the most recent photos of the other folk. i intend to create a book or something along those lines in the future. At the moment its just a pleasure to make and photograph these models :)
